The Invisible

Set during the outbreak of The Black Death, young Sylvei is accused of bringing the plague to her village after having sinful thoughts about a naked boy bathing in a river nearby.

Sylvei barely escapes with her mother to an abandoned farm, where she soon lays her eyes on the neighbouring boy Halvor.

Sylvei must fight to break with her mother's strict moral codes and free herself from her protective clutches - while the plague threatens to kill them all.

The Invisible is a dark and frightening coming of age Norwegian folk tale shrouded in atmospheric horror, about lust and human nature.
